With advancing COVID 19 our whole nation has become a dark destination. With stay at home orders the Shadow Spirit has nowhere to wander. But rather than hide in the corner of the garage until this thing is over, the Shadow Spirit has transformed itself into the Great Grocery Getter, an essential activity.
The trip to my nearest Walmart in Maryland is a short ride across Pretty Boy Reservoir to Hampstead. There I can get the water that I need and some other groceries, as well as some Tylenol.
On the way home with the sun behind us the Shadow Spirit races its shadow across the bridge over Pretty Boy. Who won? Only the Shadow knows.
